Many resources exist for young persons with CFIDS
(YPWCs)
and their families. Following is a list of some resources we're aware of outside

- Alison Hunter Memorial Foundation is an Australian foundation with the goal of reducing the impact in the community of the disease myalgic encephalopathy / chronic fatigue syndrome
- AYME (Association of Youth with
ME is a UK-based independent registered charity dedicated to giving help, support and vital
contact to children and young people with myalgic encephalomyelitis
(M.E.)/CFIDS/CFS.

- Action for
ME if you are affected by M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/ Encephalopathy), CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) or PVFS (Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome)? This site is for you.
- Chronic Illness
Initiative DePaul University. Students with chronic illnesses such as
chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, fibromyalgia, among others, may take advantage of
the services of the SNL’s Chronic Illness Initiative. This program was
designed to help students who have had difficulty attending traditional
programs because of relapses or unpredictable symptom flare ups. Scholarships
are available.
- The
Pediatric Network for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Orthostatic
Intolerance has articles on medical, educational, parenting,
transition planning, and advocacy topics
- The National
Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities is a national information and referral center that
provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for
families, educators and other professionals.
- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Homepage (IDEA), provides information on the federal law which mandates a "free and equal
education" for children with disabilities.
- The PACER Center expands opportunities and enhances the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents.
- HEATH Resource Center is a national
clearinghouse on postsecondary education for individuals with disabilities.
- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) of the U.S. Department of Education.
