Family and Friends: Family Stories
Any chronic illness will put a strain on a family. CFS is certainly no exception;
it affects careers, finances, activities, education, and relationships. These changes, in addition to the health problems presented by CFS, will bring new challenges to relationships and may worsen problems in existing relationships.
However, by being flexible, loving and supporting,
and by altering
roles and responsibilities, many families have learned to thrive in spite of CFS.
In the "Living with CFIDS" section of the CFIDS
Chronicle, you'll find helpful family and patient stories written by people with CFS and their spouses, parents, children, and friends.
The Association’s e-newsletter, CFIDSLink, shares personal profiles written by people personally affected by CFS. Archived issues are available here — to receive CFIDSLink via email click here.
