National
Public Radio host, Diane Rehm, CFIDS researchers, Drs. William Reeves and
Suzanne Vernon, Senator Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff and some of the CFIDS
Association’s closest friends gathered at Washington DC’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel on
July 27, 2003 to honor award-winning author Laura Hillenbrand for her efforts to
raise awareness of CFIDS.
"Our guest of
honor is working from a limited battery pack," explained CFIDS Association
President & CEO, Kim (Kenney) McCleary, as she welcomed Hillenbrand to the
special "Meet the Author" benefit tea. Laura Hillenbrand has battled CFIDS since
1987.
