Support Groups: Local Resources
Living with CFIDS can be difficult, not only because of the
physical symptoms, but also because of the misunderstanding of the illness by
family members, co-workers, health care professionals and friends. Patients
often seek support and comfort from others who are dealing with the same
experiences. Many CFIDS patients find this compassion and acceptance in one of
the more than 800 CFIDS support groups around the country.
The Association maintains a state-by-state listing of CFIDS
support groups which is provided free to anyone requesting it. To receive a list
of support groups in your state, e-mail your name and complete mailing address
to SupportGroups@cfids.org or
send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to The CFIDS Association of America,
