Support Groups: Coping
Living with CFIDS can be difficult, not
only because of the physical symptoms, but also because of the misunderstanding
of the illness by family members, co-workers, health care professionals and
friends. Patients often seek support and comfort from others who are dealing
with the same experiences. Many CFIDS patients find this compassion and
acceptance in one of the more than 800 CFIDS support groups around the
country.
