May Media Heating Up
Media interest in “The Faces of CFS” traveling photo exhibit’s display at Mayfair in Wauwatosa, Wis., from May 11–17 is already building:
- WTKM-AM 1540 and WTKM-FM 104.9 out of Hartford, Wis., has been running public service announcements since the last week in April.
- Tune in to WMYX-FM 99.1 and WSSP-AM 1250 on Sunday, May 10, for an episode of public affairs show Sunday Morning featuring an interview with Dr. Konstance Knox, director of research at the Wisconsin Viral Research Group and the Institute for Viral Pathogenesis. You can hear the show live online at www.99wmyx.com and www.sportsradio1250.com.
- She will also participate in an interview on KISS Community, the public affairs show on WXSS-FM 103.7 that same day (Sunday, May 10). It will be streamed live at www.1037kissfm.com.
The air times for the two radio shows have not been determined, but we’ll let you know as soon as they’re confirmed.
In other media news:
- Association President and CEO Kimberly McCleary will be a guest on Internet radio show Speak-Up! on WomensRadio.com. It will be posted online at http://www.womensradio.com/content/templates/?a=3513&z=11 from May 5 – 11 before being archived.
- Maria Araceli Vera Nunez, M.D., of the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, will be a guest on morning show Nelson El Morillo Y There, broadcast on Spanish radio stations KXPD-AM 1040 and KXOR-AM 660 in Portland, Ore. She’ll speak with the hosts and answer questions from callers for one hour beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, May 26.
And finally, media coverage continues in St. Louis in acknowledgement of CFS Awareness Month:
- Internist Dr. Tipu Sultan will be a guest on talk show Let's Talk on Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. (local time). He will speak with Host Doug Jenkins on WBGZ-AM 1570 out of Alton, Ill.
- Dr. Sultan and CFS Patient Jane Luft will be guests on public affairs show Talk of the Town, airing on WARH-FM 106.5 and 101.1 ESPN with Host Rick Wallace, on Sunday, May 10, at 6:30 a.m. (local time). The show will be streamed live online at www.1065thearch.com.
- Forum, a public affairs show airing on WAOX-FM 105.3, WSMI-AM 1540 and WSMI-FM 106.1, will feature Dr. Sultan in an interview set to air on Saturday, May 16, at 4:10 p.m. and Sunday, May 17, at 11:05 a.m. on WSMI’s AM and FM stations. The air dates and times for the program on WAOX have not been determined, but we’ll let you know when they’re confirmed.
