The Gene Teams
By Dr. Suzanne Vernon

What happens when four teams of scientists are given extensive biomedical data gathered from CFS patients and asked to investigate the pathophysiology and identify potential biomarkers for the illness? In this article, Dr. Suzanne Vernon provides a play-by-play account of results from the CFS Computational Challenge.

This story first appeared in the “Science ’07 Issue” of the CFIDS Chronicle in February 2007. The “Science ’08 Issue” will hit the streets this February with more science and research updates.
