Published quarterly, the CFIDS Chronicle covers a broad range of CFIDS-related topics such as treating the symptoms that most impact your life, profiles of people whose experiences may mirror your own and coverage of research findings.

Chronicle Submissions
The CFIDS Chronicle accepts submissions of articles, essays, book reviews, etc. on subjects of interest to people with CFIDS (PWCs). No guarantee of publication is made or implied and no compensation is given to authors.

Due to the volume of submissions received, authors are notified only if their manuscripts are selected for publication. Submissions will not be returned to authors but are kept on file with the Association for possible future use.

Claims of medical treatment, alternative therapy and/or "cure" should be substantiated through medical research, clinical trials and/or broad physician experience. All scientific or medical articles are subject to review by CFIDS experts.

By submitting an article to the CFIDS Chronicle, the author confers permission for the CFIDS Association of America Inc. to use that material for any Association publications, including educational materials and our website. All articles are subject to editing by the Chronicle editorial staff for content, clarity and space considerations.

All submissions must include a brief author biography and a recent photo if possible. Photographs or other illustrations may be submitted.

LENGTH
Article length varies based on subject matter. The guidelines below should be followed whenever possible. Final length will be at the discretion of the editorial staff.

  • Letters to the editor: Up to 100 words
  • Book reviews: Up to 200 words
  • Commentary: 500-1000 words
  • Living with CFIDS: Up to 1,000 words
  • Technical/Scientific Articles: 500-1500 words
  • Feature Stories/Interviews: 500-1500 words
  • Public Policy/News: 100-500 words

BULLETIN BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bulletin Board space is available at no cost to individuals and groups conducting CFIDS-related conferences, nonprofit or volunteer activities, or seeking information that may be of broad interest or benefit to the CFIDS community.

BOOK REVIEWS
Reviews on books relevant to CFIDS and chronic illness in general are published in the Chronicle. For information on submitting a book review, e-mail chronicle@cfids.org or write to The CFIDS Chronicle , PO Box 220398, Charlotte, NC 28222-0398.
