Earlier this year, The CFIDS Chronicle invited readers to share their stories about life with CFIDS.  The response was immediate, compelling and deeply heartfelt.

We received poetry, prose, photographs, coping tips and artwork from scores of people with CFIDS and their families.  Readers wrote from every corner of the country, eager to tell about their successes, frustrations and dreams for the future.

Some stories were inspirational, some wistful.  Together, they paint a moving portrait of this devastating illness and those who struggle to overcome it.

This four-page section is the first in an ongoing Snapshots of CFIDS series.  Starting next year, Snapshots sections will run in every winter and summer edition of the Chronicle.

I hope you find this new feature worthwhile.  Share it with friends, family, co-workers, doctors---anyone who wants or needs to learn about the human side of CFIDS.

I also invite you to share your stories for future issues.  How are you coping?  What are your successes, frustrations and dreams?  Send submissions to The CFIDS Association of America, P.O. Box 220398, Charlotte, NC 28222-0398, Attention: Snapshots.
