Web site award, redesign
The Association’s web site page, “An Introduction
to
CFIDS: Information on Diagnosis, Treatment and Research,” was selected to receive the Links2Go Key Resource
Award for chronic fatigue syndrome.
The Association continues to utilize the web to educate the
public about chronic fatigue and immune dsyfunction syndrome (CFIDS). To help achieve this goal, the Association
is giving its web site a complete makeover. The launch for the new site is set for early 2001.
The
improved web site will be easier to use and will contain specialized areas of interest for patients, the
media and medical professionals. Chronicle archives will be available on line and visitors will be able
to donate and shop in a new virtual, secure environment.
Staff anniversary
November marks the Association’s first-ever,
10-year anniversary
for a staff member.
Kris Hopkins began her tenure as a temporary employee assisting the Association
at its 1990 research conference in Charlotte, N.C. Her job has grown over the last decade, and today she
is the Operations Manager and Support Network Services Coordinator.
Thank you, Kris, for your continued
dedication to the Association and its members.
