Grassroots: CFIDS Activists

Grassroots Action Center Listserv (GAC) members (formerly known as CFIDS Activist (C-ACT) members) serve as the link between CFIDS lobbyists and members of Congress and federal agency officials. GAC members show members of Congress and others working in the federal government that there are a lot of real people who care about CFIDS.

By telling of their own experiences with the disease, persons with CFIDS (PWCs) and those who care about them provide compelling evidence that CFIDS warrants a swift federal response. Personal stories complement the factual and scientific information that The CFIDS Association of America's staff regularly shares with decision makers.

Together our efforts are stronger than what any of us could do alone. That's why building a grassroots advocacy movement is crucial to making progress.

Becoming a CFIDS Activist is easy! Writing one letter, sending one e-mail message* or making one phone call can have a positive impact on decisions that affect every person with CFIDS.

Join GAC (there's no charge)! Simply visit http://capwiz.com/cfids/mlm/ to sign up today.

You'll receive Advocacy Alerts, sample letters and other important information about what's going on in Washington. Join your voice with others to send a clear and consistent message to government officials about the need for a more dedicated national response to CFIDS.

E-mail is becoming an effective tool to reach your own government officials while saving time, energy and money. For a list of government contacts and a tool to find the names of your Congressional representatives, visit our new Grassroots Action Center' home page at http://capwiz.com/cfids/home/.
