6th Annual Virtual Lobby Day Begins!
VIRTUAL LOBBY DAY ACTION #1
Ask your local media to raise awareness.
May 12 is observed internationally as CFS/CFIDS/ME Awareness Day. This week, the CFIDS Association of America hosts its 6th Annual Virtual Lobby Day to raise awareness and build understanding about the serious, disabling nature of CFS. This is the first of our Action Alerts to be posted this week. More will follow the May 10 meeting of the federal CFS Advisory Committee in Washington, D.C.
Please participate; we've made it easy with pre-addressed message templates!
Action #1:
Your local media outlets can help spread the word about the impact, severity and prevalence of CFS. Direct them to information resources and ask them to bring greater understanding to the public. Tell your story as an inspiration to reporters to cover the issue.
You can check out all the recent coverage of CFS in the media at http://www.cfids.org/sparkcfs/media-coverage.asp. See how individuals like you, talking about their experiences, help raise awareness and deepen understanding.
Just click "Take Action," enter your zip code and say as much or as little as you'd like about how CFS has affected your life.
