Each year, participants tell us that they feel informed, empowered and engaged as a result of their participation. For some, it's their first chance to meet other CFIDS patients and sharing common experiences builds lasting relationships. For others, the chance to join with fellow advocates in a meaningful activity gives them a sense of power and control, making up for some of the losses experienced as a result of CFIDS.
This year's event promises to be our best ever, with lots of early interest demonstrated by alumni and newcomers alike. Progress in research, increased media visability and the chance to educate new people in Congress will energize our delegation. We'll train you, provide all the materials you need, and book your appointments with members of Congress and staff. We promise you'll learn a lot and have fun, too!
