On Wednesday,
August 9, Minnesota Public Radio's "Midmorning" program will focus on
CFS. Special guests include Dr. William Reeves of the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, award-winning writer and CFS sufferer Laura
Hillenbrand, and local physician Dr. Alan Kind. The hour-long program will air
from 11:00 a.m. - noon Eastern time. You can
listen in via
the web site, www.mpr.org, where files are also archived after
the live broadcast.
In case you missed our notice sent yesterday, on
Sunday, August 6, WCCO-TV in Minneapolis did a story on CFS. Reporter Sue Turner
interviewed a local Minnesota CFS patient, Joanne Brayden, and CFIDS Association
staffer Tiffany Stovall for the story. To view the story, go to: http://wcco.com/topstories/local_story_218211856.html.
This media
attention is being organized in conjunction with the national CFS public
awareness campaign. The CFIDS Association arranged for the new traveling CFS
photo exhibit, "The Faces of CFS," to make its public debut at
the Mall of America from August 6-15 (http://www.cfids.org/sparkcfs/photo.asp ).
