Alert:

Today the Senate passed,
by a vote of 73 to 27, the Specter-Harkin Amendment, replacing $7 billion in
funding for medical research and other health and education programs that had
been cut from the federal budget. Health advocates across the country united in
support of this measure and the Senate responded by a ratio of nearly 3:1.
Thanks to those CFIDS advocates who called or wrote their Senators in response
